MISSISSAUGA, ON — October 24, 2012 — Survalent Technology, the most trusted provider of smart grid solutions for the control room, announced today that it has commissioned a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for Union City Electric System.
Union City Electric System (UCES) serves around 6,500 customers in Union City, Tennessee and surrounding areas. UCES serves a mixture of customers from homes to large industrial plants. They are a member of Tennessee Municipal Electric Power Association (TMEPA) and Tennessee Valley Public Power Association, Inc. (TVPPA)
The new system features Survalent’s highly available, open-architecture system based on Windows Server 2008. It includes several of Survalent's open system applications, including: WorldView, SCADA Explorer, Command Sequencing, Event Data Recording, IED Wizard, Control Panel, Remote Alarm Annunciation, SCADA Add-in for Microsoft Excel and Access, Master/Slave Alarm Suppression, System Configuration Status, and Multispeak.
