Web app enables utility control room and field crew to share critical data even when offline, reduce field service costs, and maximize productivity
BRAMPTON, ON — September 12, 2024
Survalent Technology Corporation, a leading provider of advanced distribution management system (ADMS) software, is pleased to announce the launch of SurvalentONE Polaris, a comprehensive, two-way-communication application that improves collaboration between the control room and field crew, leading to faster, safer outage restoration.
SurvalentONE Polaris enables field crews to view and edit jobs, report progress on jobs, outage cases, and tickets, share photos, and view the network model and outage map in real time, all through their mobile device (laptop, tablet, or phone) – even when offline. It thus ensures a safe, coordinated response to every outage by giving the field crew secure, anytime, anywhere access to work assignments and device status, including any tags applied. Polaris will be officially launched at the 2024 Survalent Global User Conference.
“We’re excited to launch Polaris – it adds immense value to our already proven utility-grade outage management system (OMS). I’m particularly excited about Polaris’ offline capabilities, which will enable field crew to continue to access and edit their work even when they’re working in remote locations that have little to no cell coverage,” said Young Ngo, Chief Technology Officer of Survalent. “Once they get back online, Polaris will automatically sync with the OMS and update all the data for stakeholders in the field and control room.”
SurvalentONE Polaris enables utilities to accelerate restorations and repairs while optimizing field crew deployment and safety. It helps utilities manage outages much more efficiently and get the lights back on faster at a lower cost, making for happier customers and a stronger bottom line.
